Bob Kahle was honored to stand with Michigan Governor Jennifer Granholm and First
Gentleman Dan Mulhern on January 8, 2008 in Lansing, Michigan where the
Governor released data from Wave V of the Mentor Michigan Census (MMC).
The MMC is a periodic online survey (including qualitative feedback) of
mentoring organizations in Michigan conducted by Kahle Research
Solutions. Key results show that the number of mentors working with kids
has doubled from 2003 to 2008. The Detroit Free Press and many other
newspapers, radio and TV stations published results of the survey. Bob
comments, “The evaluation work we have done for Mentor Michigan is
among the most rewarding and challenging of my career. It is wonderful
to work with so many people committed to helping young people whose
opportunities for success have been compromised through no fault of
their own.” QRCA Bob Kahle's workshop on how to manage difficult behavior in focus group settings was the highest rated session at the 2006 Annual QRCA Conference, and his panel discussion tied with several others for the second highest rated. If you didn't get into the session or you don't want to rely on your notes, fear not. All of Bob's advice and insights are presented in his book on managing difficult behavior issues in focus groups. The book also contains several handy reference cards (see below). Last March Bob hosted a QCast (web-based seminar) on how to manage difficult behavior in focus group settings. That session has been archived. To view the session, Click here. During 2008 and 2009, Bob has been traveling around the country presenting his workshop.
